Pulsara version 21 provides six new Patient Types, including Behavioral Health, ECMO, Obstetrics, Pulmonary Embolism, Surgical Emergency, and Toxicology/Overdose. Additionally, the Pulsara Call button has been added to appear inside the Team section of the Patient Channel for easier calling access, and the button to scan US driver’s licenses now appears as “DL Scan.”

Pulsara version 20 enhances the New Patient creation screen by making the Audio Clips button always visible for faster access to radio reports and case notes. Contacts added can be viewed from a card right in the Patient Channel. Additionally, EMS can now see facility availability outside of Patient Channel through the Hospital Availability link on the main menu. The new First Medical Contact field for EMS will improve accuracy for all entities involved with patient care.

Pulsara version 19 simplifies the New Patient creation screen to reduce the number of taps and amount of scrolling needed to create a patient. EMS teams can now see hospital availability information when selecting a destination. Additionally, this update adds the ability for EMS agencies to make a Destination required, replaces Scene Departure time with an automatic ETA based on the distance between the device location and the hospital, and defaults the At Patient time to the current time.

Pulsara 11.1 introduces new functionality for EMS to assign a record ID when creating or editing patients. This new field makes it easier to integrate with ePCRs or other pre-hospital applications. Your agency can choose from common labels to identify the EMS Record ID type, and EMS Record IDs can be added even after a case is stopped.

10.14 features improvements to Pulsara calls, where all calls now begin as audio-only and then video can be added on demand. Additionally, audio calls now default to using the internal phone earpiece rather than the speakerphone for enhanced security. We’ve also bumped the time limit for audio clips up to two minutes.
Other enhancements include easier on/off call scheduling for Android users, and better reliability of video calls for Android devices in times of poor network connectivity.
